Pastelli garments are stocked here now in the UK, which enables current users to re-order quickly and efficiently, both on account or via credit card payments. The purchase price of all goods made in the UK, is the most cost effective method of purchase, to avoid increases on VAT and shipping charges, when buying though the internet. For new customers we have the ability to visit your location and demonstrate the full UK Compliant range, take measurements for individuals and give style and fit direction first hand.

A Pastelli garment within our 100% Cotton range, tends to be a tailored fit, the sizes therefore can alter slightly dependent upon the garment style. We would always advise that you call us directly and tell us which style you are considering so we can advise you accordingly.

It is easy to maintain our gowns to ensure beauty and longevity

Just follow the simple care instructions suggested, and avoid non-tested treatments and products.

Immerse the article exclusively in cold water and leave it soaking for at least 4 hours.

Wash white articles in the washing machine, using a regular detergent.

Wash colour articles using exclusively specific detergents for colour clothing free of whiteners, by checking the label.

Do not use any additive.

Wash at 40°C/104°F or if the fabric can sustain a higher temperature and you wish to disinfect it, wash at 60°C/140°F for 30 minutes.

If you need to sterilize the gown at 140°C/284°F, please note the fabric will shrink by 2-4%, corresponding to one size. Not all of our models can be subject to this process, because some of the accessories do not bear temperatures higher than 90°C/194°F.

Iron the cotton articles slightly damp using a steamer. The wash and wear PET fabric does not need to be ironed.

Articles subject to different care other than the suggested instructions, will not be covered by warranty.

Carefully read the garment label and maintenance suggested in our catalogues where the appropriate temperatures and wash cycles are explained . Generally we advise against using a clothes drier. However it is possible to tumble-dry the garments at very low temperatures (i.e. delicate) and still avoiding shrinking.

‘The white ones are grey or yellow after washing’

Rewashing with a detergent that contains sodium-bicarbonate(baking soda) should suffice. The yellowish colour is due to the overuse of whitening agents and the greyish colour is due to the use of the wrong type of detergents or mixing whites and colours .

‘Yellow stains have appeared.’

This results from excess bleach or the direct application of bleach to the garment . We recommend rinsing the garment at 40º, skipping the spin cycle and the rewashing at 30º with sodium-bicarbonate(baking soda).

‘Blue streaks have appeared.’

This are is due to an excess of softener or laundry detergents. A thorough rinsing with clean water should make them disappear.

‘The material is difficult to iron.’

At the onset our materials are difficult to iron, over time with each washing they become softer something that we consider a mark of quality. The material can be softened, making it easier to iron, by soaking it in lye. Be aware that while doing this softens the material it will weaken the fibres making the garment less durable.

‘The new one isn’t as soft as the old one.’

This is absolutely normal. Please refer to the point listed above.

‘My coat/scrubs have stretched or shrunk.’

Our materials are guaranteed sanfor +/- 2%. This means that the scrubs will progressively shrink up to 2 cm and the coats up to 1 cm. Shrinking is bound to occur if the material is washed at temperatures higher than those indicated on the label or tumbled-dry at a temperature higher than that recommended for the garment. The percentage of the shrinkage will augment based on the temperature to which the material is subjected.

‘The colour is opaque after the wash.’

Normally rinsing with clean water should return it to it´s original condition. This problem usually results from the residue of washing detergent deposited in the material´s fibres.

‘The colour has degraded.’

Our dyes are especially resistant due to the fact that they are destined for sanitary use. Regardless if special colour detergents are not used the tone of the garment may change. Laundering products claiming to be ¨universal¨ usually contain whitening agents or colour additives that diminish the strength of the colour.

‘The material has broken fibres or small holes..’

If the material comes in contact with acidic products a progressive weakening of the fibres occurs. We advise against the use of stain removers. To remove stains please read the suggestions provided on our web page and in our catalogue
